PFM C3 Series

Series C3 with Memory Buckets optimises Twin and 2 to 8 multi-flavour versions.
The Series C3 was developed to provide an effective solution to the demand for high productivity combined with the need to weigh and mix a variety of products in a single pack. Available with 8-10-14-16-20-24 buckets, it features IP66 protection rating and is therefore completely washable. It is operated through an industrial PC with a 15″ touch screen featuring extremely powerful, and easy to programme Windows software.

MECHANICAL AND TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

•Tubular frame in Stainless Steel AISI 304, continuously welded, designed without hidden areas or crevices and engineered to make the cleaning operation easy and prevent the growth of bacteria. There's only one IP66 electrical panel also manufactured in Stainless Steel AISI 304.

•Single or twin central vibrating cone fitted with one or two load cells which interacts with the feeding system to create a constant flow of product, not an intermittent operation. The constant feeding system ensures there are minimal variations in quantities of product on the central cone thereby guaranteeing optimum distribution over the surrounding channels.

•Extremely powerful and perfectly calibrated vibrating bases.

•The Weighing Head is completely removable, interchangeable and complete with a direct electrical connector. The segment contains 2 step motors to open the buckets and a hardware control system. Each segment is light, watertight (IP66 protection), resistant to corrosive agents, manufactured in food grade material and their construction limit the formation of condensation.

•Latest generation load cell that is very accurate with a compact design and includes a compensating system for thermal variations.

•The pre-dosing and weighing buckets are particularly robust, manufactured in Stainless Steel AISI 304, and the opening/closing is carried out by step motors. The opening/closing speed can be programmed, as well as the acceleration/deceleration ramps.

•Memory buckets positioned under the weigh buckets. Opening/closure operated by step motor.
SOFTWARE/HARDWARE CHARACTERISTICS:

A sophisticated yet user friendly Operating Software that includes:

•AVC System (Automatic Vibration Control). It automatically adjusts the best operating sequence in terms of amplitude and vibration time so that the exact quantity of product requested by the system is dropped into the pre-dosing buckets.

•ARC System (Automatic Random Control). The multi head weigher automatically sets the weight diversification inside the weighing buckets in order to find the best weight combination and therefore improve the speed/accuracy ratio.

•NBC system for automatic regulation of the number of buckets to be used for discharge.

•The AVC, ARC, NBC and central cone control systems work together and at the same time. They are sophisticated software/hardware systems developed to simplify the use of the weigher as far as possible and increase its efficiency and speed/accuracy ratio. They operate in real time and adapt to changing environmental and/or product conditions.

•EVA System (Environmental Vibration Annulment) for low frequency environmental vibrations.

•Production Statistics complete with all the necessary data.

•Facility to connect the weigher to an Ethernet network to display, download and print statistic data, to send/receive various operating settings and software and to enable �tele-service� via the internet and wire-less.

•USB card to memorize, upload/download software, settings and updates.

•The hardware configuration is state of the art thanks to the Can-Open system, which can also be used to "remotely� control part of the hardware on the weigher�s peripheral components and drastically reduce the likelihood of breakdowns caused by wear and tear. The Can-Open system is a digital communication network connected through a multipole connector which provides maximum protection of the digital signal against electromagnetic interference.

•The HMI display is a 15" active matrix colour touch screen.
MODE OF OPERATION:

The operator sets the parameters related to the weight, upper/lower limits, production speed and central distribution cone. The Multihead Weigher then automatically adjusts:

•The best amplitude and vibration time of each vibrating side channel.

•Diversification of the weight among the buckets.

•The optimum number of buckets used for the drop.

•The Environmental Vibration Annulment system is always activated and adjustable.
The sum total of these functions enables intervention by the operator to be reduced to practically zero. Over time, the weigher "learns" to adapt to the product and working environment. As a result of this "learning" process, the machine data is systematically memorised in the specific program. Moreover, the weigher does not remain "passive" but adapts in real time to changing environmental conditions.
